Thanks for your reply. Him spending a day with the youngest on his own is the next step, however due to the struggles he had with his mental health because of the children I am not sure when the right time is. I have to be able to trust he is capable of looking after him. I initially said I would not be happy until he could at least talk and ask for what he needed, but we are a long way off that. I know in his head when he starts having our son he will be expecting that he can stay over as well which in my head sleepovers would be from at least 2 and a half like you said. Out of interest what access did you ask for and what did the courts grant? I am starting to think that a court outcome might be the best/fair option.
