Why fundraise for Gingerbread?

With your fundraising, you can help us to achieve our vision of a society in which single parents are valued and where they, and their children, are treated equally and fairly.

With 100 years of experience, Gingerbread is the first port of call when times are tough for hundreds of thousands of single parents every year. We offer expert advice and training, a peer support network and we campaign with single parents to get their voices heard. We know what we do works – we change single parents’ lives for the better by improving confidence and well-being, boost self-esteem and enable them to access advice and information.

However, increasing financial pressures prompt more and more single parents to turn to us for support. Without your fundraising, our services might not be able to help those in most desperate need.

Gingerbread was the first charity that came to mind when I was deciding who to support, the website and resources have always been my first call since I separated from my son's father five years ago. Gingerbread supported me when I needed it, so now it was my turn.
