    Hi – You don’t say if you’re looking for advice but if you are , you can ring our single parent helpline (freephone) on 0808 802 0925  opening hours Mon 10-6, Tues 10-4, Weds 10-1, 5-7, Thursday and Friday 10-4.  Also if you want advice on domestic violence, there’s the Men’s Advice Line – here is the link

    Hi Jenifa.  Unfortunately Gingerbread can’t answer complex benefit queries on the forum.  I’m sorry to hear you couldn’t get through when you tried to ring our helpline.  Perhaps you could try again on Monday when we’re open.  Also,  you could check if there’s a local Citizens Advice you could contact.    Here’s a link to their website and a separate one for Turn2Us who can answer benefit queries on the ‘phone.

    It sounds as if you are taking legal advice about this matter.    If you  have concerns about emotional abuse, ring the NSPCC 24 hour helpline on 0808 800 5000.

    The Gingerbread helpline can provide advice and signposting on a range of matters for single parents so if you want to talk to us you can ring us on 0808 802 0925.

    In the meantime, if you want to discuss the matter of domestic abuse, you can ring the Women’s Aid domestic violence 24 hour  helpline on 0808 2000 247.
