Gingerbread Group Coordinator Ema first heard about our peer support network when she was pregnant with her son. She initially set up the North West London Gingerbread Group with a few mums she knew in the local area, and has since grown her community to over 106 members.
In her vlog, Ema tells us about her journey to becoming a Gingerbread volunteer, and how much of a positive impact her group has made not only on the lives of the families around her, but also her own.
My son now has a wide group of friends who are in the same situation, and I find it a great way to support each other. I find volunteering really rewarding and I'm glad that I can help other people who are lonely or disconnected.
