Genny is mum to two teenage boys, and became a single parent in 2003. After experiencing some tough times, her friend suggested she get in touch with Gingerbread, where she joined our forum, founded her own group and found strength through connecting with other single parents. In her vlog, she tells us about her journey through single parenthood and the ways Gingerbread’s services have changed her life.
"It has been a journey, but right now in my life, I feel happier and I feel blessed that I can go out there and help other people.
I see myself as a role model for other single parents, just to encourage them and say: I have been there. No matter what you're going through, there's hope."
