Single Parents Comedy presents… Stand Up For Single Parents’ Day!
Stand Up For Single Parents’ Day!
Join us on Single Parents’ Day 2021 as we celebrate single parents through some smashing stand-up comedy.
This is the third in a popular series of stand-up nights, Stand Up For Single Parents – the first two were absolutely hilarious and we’re thrilled to announce that the third will be taking place on Single Parents’ Day 2021, with all proceeds going to Gingerbread!
Thea Jaffe volunteers as a Gingerbread peer support group coordinator, is single mother to her young son, works a busy job – and, over lockdown, has really started to shine in her stand-up career! Thea organises these great evenings as a bit of a (not-necessarily-family-friendly!) laugh for all and sundry, with a selection of different comedians on throughout the evening.
Pay what you can for your ticket – with huge thanks from Gingerbread.
We’ll see you at 9pm on Sunday 21st March!
When: Sunday 21st March, 9 – 10:30pm
Where: Zoom (but you can have your laptop or phone anywhere you like, really!)

Headlined by the incredible
One of the UK’s most-booked professional comedians, Cally Beaton makes regular appearances on TV and radio, including: BBC2’s QI and The Apprentice You’re Fired, Radio 4’s Museum of Curiosity, The Unbelievable Truth and Saturday Live, and is a frequent guest on BBC Radio London and Times Radio. Her act is a rollercoaster ride of anecdotes, observations and chutzpah.

How to donate
Ticket prices for this event are set to ‘pay what you can’ – so nobody misses out! If you’re able to, we do encourage you to opt for a reasonable price so that your contribution can help Gingerbread to continue its vital work.
Your donation could help us continue supporting single parents with:
- Expert and up-to-date advice and information from Gingerbread’s free helpline and website, offering the tools needed to manage the financial and practical challenges single parents face as this pandemic continues.
- Peer-to-peer support services, connecting single parent families through local groups and our online forum, helping to reduce loneliness and isolation exacerbated by lockdowns and social distancing.
- Evidence-based research, policy and campaigning work to create a fairer system, giving single parents and their children the chance to thrive.
