Wednesday 8 November

Event: Barriers to work drop-in session

Location:  London

Time: 1-2pm

Description: We are offering a single parent the opportunity to attend a cross-party drop-in session with parliamentarians to disucss barriers to work.

*this event will take place in central London. Reasonable travel expenses are covered.

*this session is being organised with a number of other charities who will also be bringing participants.

Wednesday 6 December

Event: All party parliamentary group (APPG) on the Child Maintenance Service meeting.

Location: Zoom

Time: 10-11am

Description: The next meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) will focus on CMS enforcement. The group will explore how irregular, incomplete and missing payments are handled by the CMS, and how enforcement can be improved. This meeting will be chaired by Jamie Stone, Liberal Democrat MP for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross.

Tuesday 12 December

Event: All party parliamentary group (APPG) on single parent families meeting.

Location: Hybrid (Parliament andZoom

Time: 2.30-3.30pm

Description: In this meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on single parent families, an expert panel (including single parents with lived experience) will discuss a range of topics pertaining to single parenthood and disability, including how the work capability assessments and proposals in the Disability Action Plan will impact single parents. This meeting will be a hybrid chaired by Rupa Huq, Labour MP for Ealing Central and Acton.
