Gingerbread celebrates £75,000 grant from the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund delivered by the National Lottery Community Fund

Gingerbread, the national charity for single parents, would like to acknowledge a grant of £75,000 from the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund.

The grant was specifically for work in London from July 2023 to the end of March 2024. It included helpline and web chat and our Emergency Support Package in London; including partnership referrals for food, fuel and baby banks.

The Government’s Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund is being delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK. Grants will support charities and community organisations in England at the frontline of dealing with the increase in the cost-of-living.

The National Lottery is the largest funder of community activity in the UK and has generously supported Gingerbread’s work in the past.  This further funding has helped us deliver our helpline and webchat, as well as enabling us to develop new partnerships with other organisations to meet the needs of single parents.

Jo Hardy, Gingerbread’s Head of Services, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive this grant. This grant will make a huge difference to the lives of single parents, who are struggling during the cost-of-living crisis. Thanks to the Government for making this possible.”
