Changes to Gingerbread Services

As the impact of the Cost of Living crisis continues to emerge in all areas of life, here at Gingerbread we have not been immune from increasing financial pressures.

After funding cuts earlier in the year, and subsequent changes to staffing, we have had to take the difficult decision to reduce our opening hours on the helpline and through our webchat service.

As we work towards the best solution, we hope to increase our services timetable as time goes one. This will be under constant review, with any updates shared on our website and social media channels.

Our revised timetable for the helpline and webchat service will be as follows:

HELPLINE

From Monday 1st August:

MON/TUES/THURS/FRI: 10am-1pm
WED: 10am-1pm & 5-7pm
NB: the helpline will close early on Wed 3rd August, open 10am-1pm only.

From Monday 5th September:

MON: 10am-1pm & 4-6pm
TUES/THURS/FRI: 10am-1pm
WED: 10am-1pm & 5-7pm

WEBCHAT

For August and September:

MON/TUES/THURS/FRI: 1-4pm
WED: 10am-1pm

We hope that by making these changes now, we can continue to support single parents by providing expert tailored advice when they need it most.
