A lot to think about!
Their Dad has a disability that significantly restricts travel, even with support. The distance between us is not ideal, but at least in the shorter term, there are many factors that prevent that from changing so I want to make sure my children are heard, especially in this tricky earlier stage of separation. I think it’s such a hard age for it to happen to them (any age not easy of course) as they understand so much, but equally there is a lot they can’t understand.
I will take on board both of your comments about making decisions children focused, but also ensuring I’m looking after myself.
