It is really difficult for single mums because you have to find a job that is term time only and where the hours are between 9.30-2.30 so you can still do the school run.  I’m in the same situation, even if I do supply teaching which starts at 9.30 I can only work half days (12 hours a week) as a full day wouldn’t allow me to collect my daughter from the school run.

I think there is a section on the decision letter which lists the things you currently pay for and that is included in your calculation.  I would check if that section was up to date 👍

My ex took me back to court for an enforcement hearing 3 months after our final hearing.  Based on what he was accusing me of being in breach of, his case was thrown out.  But I know another single parent and their ex is taking them back to court for a variation order 1 year after their final order.  Apparently you can apply as many times as you like with no time limit in between. If the judge thinks it’s too soon to increase contact or make changes the case will be thrown out.
