I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m just at the start of a separation from my wife. I think having a list of all those big things like where to live, childcare (how involved each of you will be in that), work (if you’re both still going to have time with your kids how will both of you have to alter your work to do that), any other essentials like transport, washing machine, furniture etc. Try to work on it together because it can’t all be on you, and remind him that the kids didn’t ask for this and their welfare needs to be kept in mind. If things get heated in those discussions then take a break. Say we need to come back to this when we’re calm again.
PS if it helps I’m having one of my calm moments when I can look at things rationally. But like you I am often in turmoil thinking that I won’t be able to do everything I need to do.
