I am not in your situation but would say if you have to travel during term time because of his job then he should do all the travelling during the holidays when he can leave school!! Do either of you have any family that could support maybe once a month to give you a break? Xx

I am not sure ofyour financial circumstances but on your salary alone you will be entitled to UC paying the childcare element which means they cover 85% of your costs up to around £1600 a month. Your UC will decrease when you go back to work but won’t stop altogether but you will get the additional childcare element. So definitely speak to them.

Definitely agree with the advice about trying to find another job closer to home. Even if it’s for the new term in September. You can also speak to the Citizens advice bureau using the live web chat function.  They will be able to calculate your universal credit for you and anything else you may be entitled to. Maybe they could also advise about the court situation and costs. There might be some support there if you are on UC.
