I’ve tried to get my son interested in Lego but his interest is more in telling me what to do next with it.  He’s too excited about watching television now it is too dark, cold and miserable to play outside after school.  I did try and get him in interested in Ninjago but perhaps he was too young at the time.  He’s yet to get really interested in superheroes either.

I’ve stayed away from the Winter Wonderland as well when I’ve heard the reviews and costs it just doesn’t seem worth going.

Super Cat is a series of books by Jeanne Willis.  The hero is a cat called Tiger and the boy in the story is called James.  By coincidence my son is called James and his favourite fluffy toy is a small tiger.

The Bubble Planet looks very exciting.  I can easily see an adult who understands what they are going to see being more excited about than a child who doesn’t know the treat they are about to enjoy.

Mr Small Person is getting very excited about Christmas and was too excited to wait for the countdown to start.  Work and him being very excited about Christmas and Super Cat are keeping me busy at the moment.  Is your son excited about Christmas?

I’m in a similar position to you with a 5 year old little boy.  I live in Bickley, a bit down the train line from Dulwich.  The families we knew from NCT are now very busy doing their own thing and I only hear from them infrequently.  Working full time I haven’ t had a chance to make friends out of parents at school who are also busy.
