I am really sorry to hear you are going through this.  It can be really hard to get your head around things and process so many different challenges.  I can’t stress enough what everyone else is saying and that being kind to yourself is so important.  Just do your best to function as best as you can, but know that some days it will be hard for now and that is when being kind to yourself is so important.  I choose to stay single now and find my life is happier that way.  The bonds you develop with the children can be so strong and you realise you have many strengths as you go along, so diamonds can be found in those tough times.

Bubble baths and pamper sessions always help me to sooth when things start to feel difficult.  I have gotten used to being isolated, so that is why I joined the group, because being around others who can understand is valuable 🙂

I have only just joined today, but I really can relate to everyone’s posts.  I am a single Mum to a teen, but I have adult boys who I also brought up alone.  I left school with no qualifications so struggled knowing what jobs to go for.  I decided back in the 1990’s to go to college, get my Maths/English GCSE’s and then went on to get more qualifications.  It turned out to be the best choice for me and opened up many opportunities for work.

Teaching sounds like a great option!  You will get some help with the student loans and it will fit around school really well.  You will soon get into the academic way of writing, if I can do it anyone can.

I would say go for it 🙂
