I dont think there is any right or wrong, however, I totally understand this. In theory, if you are paying CMS then what exactly are you paying for anything else for? though naturally you want to provide things for your children. It is in fact paying twice, CMS is high and then buying clothes on top of that that should come out of the cMS. When I was together with the ex, I didnt pay nearly that much on the upkeep of the children per month!

Been here and made minimal progress. I quit a 48k job due to personal reasons, begun earning 20k months later, CMS still claiming back payments for the salary of 48k they quoted me on despite providing p45 and statements. my advice, seek tribunal because CMS take so long to resolve anything and will still insist you pay. sorry pal

    Hey,

I dont have this difficulty but I do believe if you are paying child maintenance you can contact them via their online portal and make a claim for travel expenses as they do pertain to the child. This may reduce your maintenance payments by the amount of your tickets if you can evidence them – hope this helps.

Hi Rosy, Sorry to have read this. The first step is being able to speak about it which you’ve started! Do you feel you could speak to your parents about this?
