    Hi there,
I have just left my husband for similar reasons and I have a 5.5month old baby. I feel lighter knowing I won’t be having to deal with the toxic environment which wasn’t healthy for me or my baby. Although it’s hard and can feel lonely, it’s harder staying in a relationship like that. Emotional abuse is not ok. I am sorry you are going through it too.
I have had to apply for universal credit, child maintenance services and reduced council tax as I own the house and he wouldn’t leave and also took the car. There is support out there you just need to take the first steps and seek legal help too. I hope knowing you aren’t alone helps slightly. Here if you want to talk or need to rant.  My husbands family normalised his behaviour for a while and that made me also normalise it. Talking to friends and family and being open and honest about what has happened and is happening has kept me on the path to remembering I have definitely made the right decision. My son is the only thing that matters.
