Last month. For school and various (some shared costs plus to one daughter £100 trainers and to the other £200 summer spending money I paid out £920 from my wage.

In the same month the ex wife has asked me for an extra £337 to cover household bills on the nights spent basis.

I cannot afford that ongoing and surely that cannot be fair and reasonable? Help!?!

Help. Situation has deteriorated whereby in trying to speak to my girls they want to side with her. I feel broken. Messages have continued being vile.

When discussing money I have tried to agree my ex wife is main carer for eldest daughter who comes to me 2/3 nights a week.

For my youngest she is currently 5/6 nights with me but neither the ex wife or the girls seem to be willing to accept I am therefore main carer for my youngest and therefore shouldn’t pay CS for her?

Ex wife is now threatening me with a claim and I’m thinking I make my own. Am also seeking family law sols advise and/or mediation.

Am I in the wrong? The thought of losing contact with my girls makes me just want to pay and say there you go and leave me alone but the principle seems so wrong.

I just feel so down and depressed about it all.

Don’t want to let kids down and now being told if I don’t pay maintenance she will have no money for their house and food.

All I asked was for fairness and it has spiralled into me apparently not wanting to pay for my children.

Feels like a nightmare.
