I have spoken to citizens advice and UC work coaches and although there is help available there are still issues. I live in a small village with not many jobs going anyway. I need to be able to go further afield but public transport is awful here. Ex was ordered to pay £6.72/month since April 2021 and so far has received one payment. I have reported all missed payments but he’s quite skilled at making excuses. I think my best option is education but it’ll have to be online since uni classes will carry on until 6 pm some days and with no one to pick up the kids is not an option. I will enquire if work experinece will be accepted too. Many thanks

Hi, I have enquired about jobs in local schools too but nothing is available so far or then my application was declined. Always on the look out. I would go further afield but public transport where I live is so unreliable. It takes a good 2h to just get to the nearest city taking 4h to travel😂 thank you so much though

It’s the pressure to be able to keep up when you are one person and they are two! Even harder when you don’t have grandparents or other family involved. They also seem to never invite you anywhere and when attempting to arrange play dates ect. it’s always canceled last minute! They’re fine asking me to baby sit though, I mean us single parents don’t need breaks as we’re superheroes. At least that’s what I tell myself they must be thinking 😂
