    Naaamrattan, the OP is pretty clear the reason PR was removed was that the father’s abuse resulted in their child being left disabled.

    I appreciate that any child abuse is unacceptable but the wording of your comment “My kids have been more than shaken – but the SS and courts don’t seem to care.” is not fair on the OP. It’s not a competition and, if it were, I think the OP would win, being that their child is disabled. I would think that was the deciding factor in removal of PR because it very rarely happens. I don’t think any of us want this for our children, because of the level of abuse they would have to endure, for it to happen. I’m speaking not just as a parent but from lived experience, as a survivor of childhood abuse from both parents.
