    Being a single mum and working full time to a child who isn’t school aged is HARD. I feel you – in a similar boat. The things I do to help – use a childminder instead of a nursery, fees are cheaper, I provide food nappies etc so there’s no extra cost – my son is not in nursey full time so that in involves working from home with him sometimes. At the moment he does 4 full days, previously it was two full days and two short days – I will be moving and my rent is going up so will go back down to two full days and two short days and when then 30 hrs kick in I’ll do 4 full days and one short day leaving me only to pay 15hrs on top of the 30. It is possible to wfh with baby but not entirely fair, however, needs must. Hope you figure something out. Best of luck
