I am sorry that you are having to go through this, it must be really hard.

I have not been in your situation but If I was I would do everything I could to protect me and my child. Right now your baby does not understand or know what is happening or that his dad has been abusive to his mum. I am sure when he is older and aware he would understand steps that you took to ensure you were both safe.

Hi,

I agree with Andrew’s comments, I also think that if he is suffering mentally then it’s probably a good thing for him not to be around your little girl until he was in a better and healthier frame of mind.

Are there any other parents that could help you with the school run? I  know at my child’s school a few of us help each other to make life easier. I also use after school and breakfast club.

Thanks Andrew, I can’t find any in person groups in my area, which is a shame!  Do you know if there is a single parent WhatsApp group, sometimes it’s just helpful to have other single parents that understand  to talk to.
