Not had any for a while 🤔 may need to change that soon, haha.

I’m doing ok although felt like a rubbish mum yesterday, I had my son’s parent/teacher consultation and spent the whole 10mins focusing on his mental health. (He is a really good, kind, polite boy but struggles with his feelings and runs himself down when he feels things are going wrong) we then ran out of time 🤦‍♀️

Hi Claire, sorry to hear you find it so much of a struggle. I agree we do need adult time, as you said kids are great, I have so much fun spending time with my son but having an adult to talk to at times helps, and the simple things are so hard…. like popping to the local shop, you have to take your child/children then it isn’t such a quick trip! Also when you are feeling ill you still have to get up and carry on.

Hi Claire, it is hard isn’t it? Isn’t it funny how you feel so isolated as a single parent.

Even when you do get invited out it is so difficult finding childcare without splashing out for a babysitter, which I certainly can’t afford to do and I find people who are in relationships don’t really understand what we go through.

    Hi Andrew
Thank you for responding to me.
I bet your children keep you on your toes, such fun ages, my son is non-stop, we are always on the go. Cornish Pasties definitely help you through anything, them and cream teas 😋 although I tend to wait until I visit Cornwall as they are better than Cambridgeshire ones 😂.
