I am getting evicted, and your be in the house for a while . You can get a thing called discretionary housing payment.  To help pay the rest of the rent.But speak to citizens advice, as they can help, UC should back date you when he move out, if his name is still on the tenancy agreement, then you need to get it taken off as you won’t get full housing benefits, I know it’s so annoying.

once you get UC you will have to go in every month and tell them your looking for work.  And you have to find a job that is 16 hours or more and  your pay is over a certain amount , or you still have to go in and see them which is so annoying.

once you get the money you can just live off it , my ex pays 500 a month and it goes straight into my bills account and then my UC goes straight in the bills account as well or most of it . So I won’t touch it .

and I live off what I earn and childbenifit. I only work min hours myself , but as long as the bills are paid and I can feed us I don’t care . Try and cut your bills down that kind of helps.

i am on the waiting list for my local council to move they have put me on the top band, but there still so many people in front of me . My home town is coventry, and I wanted to move back there but it’s even worse there. So I am stuck up here with no help.
