Hello & congratulations!! My first thoughts are if you are married or not, if not then he doesn’t have any parental responsibility & that is why, with hospital notes etc baby will be referred as ‘unborn your surname’ as you have the PR as the mother. He will automatically get PR only if he is married to you at the time of birth or if you name him on birth certificate. If you’re not married & he does not want to know then all I can say is leave him be, do not contact him, do not name him on birth certificate if you don’t want him involved. Honestly, you will be so much better off without! I sometimes wish I hadn’t told my boys dad as he didn’t want another child… You’ll be able to decide what you want to do & when, & look at claiming Universal Credit to help with living costs etc..
