Hello, I’m new here too, and in a similar situation. My partner and I were together nearly 13 years. We always said we’d have children one day, but he dropped me when I got pregnant. Then he seemed to come round to the idea somewhat, but like your ex he was cold, distant, unaffectionate. I did everything for our son. Ultimately we broke up in May. It’s only just hit me now really. I’m heartbroken and struggling with panic disorder and so scared that I will fall apart and won’t be able to look after my baby.
I’m so sorry that you’re going through this too, and I’m sorry that I don’t have any advice. Just please know that you are not alone, although that’s small comfort. I’ll be watching this thread and hoping someone comes along who can offer some words of wisdom. I’m here if you would like to talk or rant or whatever. You sound like a loving, dedicated mummy.
