ben@ParticipantThanks, I agree just shes quite explosive. I will take a fire extinguisher incase it all kicks off and I need to cool her down. I will order a cold drink in costa as it won’t hurt as much as a coffee when she throws it over me. Maybe will just order water thinking about it but ask only for a small amount lol…

ben@ParticipantYes I agree nobody wants to goto court and like you say spending it on the kids is a much better use of the money! I guess until I tell her its hard to know exactly what she will do. I was thinking of buying the house begind her back but I guess she wont like that either. I hate fighting, life is too short. Maybe I should buy her a big bunch of flowers with the note saying btw I am moving away or just wait until removals day, I think she would brick the windows though…

ben@ParticipantThanks for this, appreciate it! Yes we both drive. I have tried talking to her about it but I guess as its not what she wants its hard to avoid an argument. Ideally she would understand why we want to go and give us her blessing. Like you say I would come back regularly and would want my kids to come down and stay as much as possible especially in the holidays which will be nice for them to as its a holiday location anyway. I keep telling her I do not want to fight or goto court. Also part of the reason is my son is Autistic and living by the sea seems to really help him. Its complicated like you say but you only get one life and I guess sometimes a change is whats needed to have a happier and healthier life. I dont want my kids to feel I have abandoned them either but I think as long as I see them regularly hopefully that wont be how they feel.

ben@ParticipantCheers for this, hopefully one day it works for you. Do you have any idea what might happen from a legal perspective if I move and my ex wife tries to take me to court to prevent me moving with my son who lives with me full time anyway. Just nervous if I go for it then I am forced to bring him back. Cheers again

ben@ParticipantI am from Leicester too mate. Yeah I can imagine you get some mad winds being next to the sea. A lot of people say Weymouth is not just locals, lots of people who have relocation from elsewhere. I guess as Leicester is pretty multicultural and I have always found it pretty open minded too, I wasn’t sure how this compares to Weymouth. I guess as nice as the place is you want to connect with the people too. I wonder why bills are more expensive when you have the same providers and use the same energy? I guess food prices are the same though?
I used to holiday in Torquay when I was a kid as my cousins live that way.
You dont fancy moving that way one day?

ben@ParticipantHi, thanks for your reply, much appreciated for taking the time to do so. I did not realise it was more expensive, I had heard council tax was high in Weymouth but is everything more that way then? Where are you from in Leicestershire? I am on a low income at the minute too, so probably going to be a struggle but feel I need to escape but I guess it might not be so good the other side. Thanks again
