That’s it though and is my argument. She put us in this situation, very unfairly, I’ve paid the maintenance every month as well as had my children near on half the time. She gets all the child benefit money, is supplemented by me and gets kelp from universal credit. How on earth am I supposed live myself! Where’s the benefits to me for the situation I’ve been put in? It’s beyond unfair?
The CM calculator doesn’t state much more than what I’m already paying and they take a good cut of it…so wouldn’t be worth it.
The whole system favours the mother in all cases and it’s hugely unjust…whilst I agree and understand why it is there to support mothers, there needs to be some kind of support for fathers that are put in these positions and make more effort than most!
