Why we celebrate 

Giving Tuesday helps us highlight the issues single parents face and the difference community support can make. Donations raised on this day support our services, including: 

•  clear information and practical resources delivered through our website Local Gingerbread groups offering connection and friendship 

• Wellbeing sessions and workshops 

• Campaigns that challenge unfair systems like the Child Maintenance Service 

These services are a lifeline for many and Giving Tuesday helps power them. 

• We Support single parents with clear information, practical resources and strong communities. 

• We Challenge employers to deliver single parent friendly workplaces, influence policy to fight for a fairer society and change the negative narrative around single parent families. 

• We Connect single parents with others who share their lived experience, reducing isolation and building solidarity. 

How Gingerbread gets involved
