Major Donor Manager (part time)

£41,243 per annum (pro rata)
Kentish Town, London

21 hours per week

Gingerbread is the only charity in the UK focused on supporting single parents. The charity has an impressive list of contacts, developed over its long-history of nearly 100 years of work supporting single parents, contacts that present Gingerbread with a great opportunity to raise major gifts. Furthermore, with nearly 2 million single parents in the UK and many more people who have been brought up in a single parent family, it is a cause which touches the lives of many major donors, a reach which presents even greater opportunities.

As a result, this year, Gingerbread researched the feasibility of raising major gifts and developed a major donor fundraising strategy. Now, at this pivotal stage, the charity is looking for an exceptional fundraiser who is keen to make their mark by leading a new major donor fundraising programme; and who will relish the chance to maximise the opportunities both from current contacts and new prospects to grow major donor income.

The attributes we are looking for;

  • A driven and ambitious fundraiser who has a proven track record of developing relationships with prospects and securing major gifts.
  • A creative fundraiser who enjoys developing new ways to engage prospects and develop a portfolio.
  • A senior fundraiser who is comfortable leading a strategy, working autonomously and liaising with Senior Management and Trustees.
  • A fundraiser who would value flexible and part-time working and the opportunity to make their mark on a new major donor programme.
