Our Wales office is based in Cardiff, from which we serve towns across the country.
In Wales there are more than 97,000i single parent families, with approximately one in fourii households headed by a single parent. Cardiff has one of the highest proportions of single parent households in England and Wales. In Wales, 69% of single parents are either in full-time or part-time work.iii
Our Wales services aim to meet the challenges faced by single parents in the country.
Our training programmes support unemployed single parents in Wales. We offer employment training if you want to get back into work and develop practical skills such as CV writing, and personal skills training if you have been out of work for some time or want to build your confidence.
We also provide financial training tailored to the needs of single parents in Wales, to help you understand how you can manage your money and budget for your family.
We currently have four Gingerbread groups across Wales, which provide opportunities for single parents to share their experiences and support each other. You can find your nearest group here and also start your own.
