Training for Employment Support Service Providers
Gingerbread’s expert knowledge and experience in single parent-focused policy development and research, and delivering successful employment initiatives alongside being the national voice of single parents means that we are well-positioned to offer a range of services to support those supporting single parents in the world of work.
We offer bespoke training for all levels of staff at your organisation around the single-parent offer. The areas of training will focus on:
- Key policy issues affecting single parents
- Supporting single parents to gain suitable employment
- Retaining valuable staff who are single parents
We will work with you to develop a training package that suits the needs of your staff and the outcomes that you would like to achieve as an organisation.
We are also able to offer a more in-depth look at current policy developments via an interactive workshop, designed for senior staff at your organisation.
The workshop will be delivered by a senior member of staff with a view to explore the challenges you experience as an organisation, the issues for single parents and then, through adopting a think tank approach, develop solutions and improvements ensuring positive outcomes for you as an organisation and for single parents. We will:
- Send a senior member of Gingerbread to participate in an Expert Panel
- Scrutinise and provide a critical friend approach to the development, delivery, and evaluation of programmes
- Be the ‘expert voice’ for Single Parents on the Expert Panel using our policy knowledge and experience in this field
Who are Gingerbread?
Gingerbread have worked hard for over a century to ensure that single parent families are respected, appreciated, and given the same opportunities as coupled households. Everything we do focuses on the needs and equality of single parents.
Our vision is all single parents, and their children thrive. Our mission is to stand with and support single parents to overcome disadvantage, inequality, and injustice. We achieve this by running a national helpline, supporting volunteers to run local friendship groups and carrying out research and campaigning for change.
Please email Nalini Patel to discuss your training needs.
