In 1918 The National Council for the Unmarried Mother and her Child was created and now in 2018, under the name Gingerbread, we still provide support for single parent families in England and Wales.
To celebrate our centenary year, BBC Radio 4’s Jenni Murray talks to Gingerbread’s Chief Executive Rosie Ferguson and two single mothers, Sacha Corcoran and Ayse Inal. They reflect on what’s changed and what challenges remain for single parents today.
