In a very similar situation also, my husband decided he wanted to leave. Two small children who are very confused about the whole situation . My 4 yr old has become. very clingy and keeps saying that daddy doesn’t live with us anymore. I suppose he is processing everything now, (husband moved out in Nov) we are able to be amicable for about a week and then it turns nasty again. My husband continues to lie about things-mainly to do with a woman he works with who he is clearly starting a relationship with. I felt sick to my stomach when I found out. He still denies it to this day! Like the previous mum said I get my housework done when kids are at their dad’s as there is a never ending list of jobs that need to be done, I literally don’t stop but know it’s all worth it to keep a happy home.
Hi as far as I am aware it’s based on your household income. You only have to put your income in on the form it doesn’t mention anything with regards to mortgage payments or how much you may get from your children’s father. If in doubt you can speak to someone on web chat from tax credits they’re really helpful.
My husband left 9 weeks ago and I found the evenings unbearable at the beginning but I’m used to it now. Still can’t get my head around the whole separation though. It’s so heartbreaking.
