It’s been three years since our son was born and three and a half years since my partner passed away.

I’ve been struggling to find either young parents and/or single parents to talk too and relate with.

Lucky to have a local Gingerbread group nearby however (and thankfully) none of those families are just two living souls.

Guess I find it hard to relate to other families who can juggle childcare and other things between two parents.

I’m on my own, very alone.

But at the same time can never have a shower alone! Or sleep through the night! Or have a lazy Sunday!

Unsure what I want or expect writing this and putting it out there. Just need to say it to someone.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hi Millery,

I’m sorry for your loss. I don’t have any real advice myself but perhaps this organisation can put you in touch with folk who can really understand your position.

Widowed and Young provide peer to peer support service for men and women under 50 who have lost a partner.  It is run by a network of volunteers and offers a range of services.

    All the best

Hi millery. Sorry to read about the loss of your partner. I’m a single mum and my sister passed away two weeks ago so i kind of understand dealing with grief and the feeling of being alone. X
