hi, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice.

Im a single parent to a 10 year old and have recently found out I’m pregnant but my partner and I split up a few weeks ago.

understandably this is a very confusing time but i’m Worried that I cannot financially afford the cost of a second child alone.

i work 31 hours a week and some of these are evening shifts. I have an annual income of approx 16,000 and no savings, I do not qualify for working tax credits, but am in receipt of child tax credits.

the new baby would eventually need to go to childcare for me to return to work.

If anyone has any advice or information it would be much appreciated.

When my daughter was born I was able to reduce my hours to 21 hours in order to qualify for working tax credit and childcare.
