Any other widowed parents here? My husband died suddenly in January when I was 8 months pregnant with our third son. The children have been keeping me so busy it’s only just sinking in whats happened. I miss him so much. Has anyone else been through this and how do you cope?

My friend was in a similar situation. It can be very hard to accept the loss, but with time you’ll go through the pain to a better place. It helps to remember the fun times you had and be glad for the wonderful memories you made together. You can’t bring him back, but you’ll always have the beautiful memories forever!

    Hi Zcarey1985

I’m one of the moderators here at Gingerbread and I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  As well as connecting with parents on this forum there is an agency that has been set up specially for people who have lost their partners.  Here are their details and I hope it will be useful for you.

    • Widowed and Young provide peer to peer support service for men and women under 50 who have lost a partner.  It is run by a network of volunteers and offers a range of services. https://www.widowedandyoung.org.uk/

    Kind regards, Justine
