    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone ever have been sent to emergency/temporary accommodation in London or Brent council?

What is it like, do you have to live with drug addicted guys? Criminal from prison or any beggers from the street?

I am single father of two little boys, I am so worried about what if emergency/temporary accommodation will be too dangerous for the children to stay..

    Please help!

    Regards,

    Hoult

I am 30 mins from Brent and I what I can remember is that’s its a big Borough

You ask if your children will be safe. When are you moving to this place and how long for. What are your circumstances for you all to be placed in temporary accommodation?

I see, 30 minutes isn’t too far. How many/old is your child?

I just want to know what it will be like, is it dangerous for the kids to be there.

Our landlord won the court of applying to evict us out of the flat yesterday, we are required to leave with 14 days, or they will apply for bailiff to kick us out,  which mean we still have sometime before we will be homeless and being sent to emergency/temporary accommodation.

Do you know how those accommodation will be like? I am so worried!

Personally, I would not worry because you still have time for bailiffs to be instructed. Were you expecting this?

I do not believe that your family will be in any danger  because they are going to be with you . Also moving out of their home to the unknown will have them asking questions

I lived with my mother in temporary accommodation for a while  and we were safe, had a warm bed and roof over our head and were well taken care of. Why were you evicted?

We were evicted because they need to rebuild the flat.

How old were you when you live there? Was it london temporary accommodation?

I hope I will be sent to some temporary accommodations those only for family with children, then everyone can be understanding each other/help each other.

Anyway, thank  you for your answer, sounds it isnt that bad.

I worry about the drug users or people can be suddenly very mad,  or they smoke in the propety, me and my children have different level of asthma, we strictly can not accept second hand smoke…

Yes, we are expecting the landlord to apply bailiff after 14 days notice us to leave, we still have time. I contacted the council today, I hope they can arrange us to any nicer one since we still have more time.

It was many years ago and we missed school but eventually went back home.

You still have time to find accommodation so don’t be worried as you have your children to look after and to be strong for their sakes.

Start looking on the website like gumtree and challenge your energy into finding somewhere nice to live  rather than be negative and think of the worst. Honestly it will work out for the best as its a new year Nd new challenges for some.

my ex ran off to a lovely place in camden/belsize area. a national disgrace. google up Englands lane temporary accomodation. kids said it was infested by bugs. everyone in the block has to visit some nearby launderette to wash their clothes. I have known some tenants in Brent got placed into hotels and all kinds of places for temporary accomodation.

I have been full time single for over a year, I had ran out of saving and I am living on benefits.

I dont think I can find any private renting again, since I cant afford the deposit.

It is very likely we will need to go to the temporary accommodation.

What an awful comment to write. Obviously this man is looking for some support and sympathy because he’s worried about his children .

I live in a lovely clean home but got  disgusting bed bugs because they were brought in by my daughter who went to at a friend’s house!

    Thank you for your reply.

I know the temporary acc will be more or less some problems there.

If we were sent to hotel, we wont be able to cook, it can be another problem.. And I guess we wont be settled in the hotel for long, we will still be sent to some temporary acc very likely.

you may get a flat or house. there’s lot of HMO properties, where a house is shared by many tenants.
