Hello, am finding the 2nd lockdown really heavy going already.  I appreciate that I am lucky we are not ill & I’m still working -3 jobs- don’t ask-but…it’s still pretty crummy. Recently, my ex who had been quite involved in child care/school runs and visiting several times a week decided to ‘take a step back’. After the first couple of weeks of mad scramble to put in place childcare etc. I realised weekends could be pretty hard going with just the 2 of us, we had started meeting the odd friend for a walk together and daughter had started swimming lessons on Saturdays just to break day up, so seemed manageable ish. Now we’re back in lockdown again but having additional pressures of work & school- just no fun, this weekend has been frankly pretty miserable! We went out for a bike ride yesterday (2 tantrums to get out, 1 to get home) and dragged ourselves out for a walk in the drizzle today, I am open to anyone who has bright ideas to keep us both sane over the next few weekends and the house no more trashed than it is anyway after work and school all week… last lockdown ex was still involved with child, she loved being home &  and 1 was only working 1 job out of the 3….

I understand you. Staying at home for a long time is difficult, especially for children. I had two jobs, one I was able to take home, and the other required my constant presence.
I am glad that you were able to share your story. I think the situation will get better with time.

<li style=”text-align: left;”>Thanks for your understanding Renata L- I know it’s pretty rubbish for everyone at the moment, I had been doing OK (considering) but am really finding it hard 2nd time around with all the extra pressure. Am sure you’re right, one day this will be all be in the past and will be able to put it down to experience or something! 🙂
