I’ve got parental responsibility for my 2 (11 and 14) kids who live in Sweden with my ex partner.
I have visited them more than once a month for the last 10 years.
Since Lockdown 1.0 I’ve seen them twice. Access is not the problem, all is done by agreement so no court orders involved.
As the UK is now a “third country” it means that visiting the EU is only allowed for certain purposes. The family exemption is for “essential family reasons”. The Swedish border police have given guidance that this covers births, deaths and palliative care.
Does anyone have any experience of whether parental access “trumps” any of the barriers to entry?
Thanks in advance.
PS please no moralising about necessity to travel.
