    Hello,

I’ve just found you after searching for another topic.

I find myself going through a separation and divorce after my estranged wife of nearly 6 years came home on the 25th Jan to tell me she’d been to see a solicitor.

I’m not going to pretend everything was perfect, we were going through difficulties, but we were trying to work through them and at the time this happened I thought we were ok!

Our situation is made more difficult by the fact we have adopted twin, who are still only toddlers and trying to make arrangements with her is quite difficult with her shutting down every reasonable suggestion I make.

Currently resisting the urge to tell her exactly what I think of her, but that won’t help things or my case to see my children as much as possible!

I haven’t been where you are as I am single mum through bereavement.  But I have seen some of my friends go through separation.

All I can say is that you have to follow what you believe is right and don’t give up fighting. You will find internal strength to carry on.

    Thanks Mum02,

I’m trying to keep the children’s best interests in mind, because at the end of the day they are the most important thing.

Make sure that you look after yourself too. I hope that you can get things sorted.
