Hey up, I finally got the balls to post…Im 29 years old with a 1 year old boy. Me and my ex get on for the sake of our son & he has his 1 night a week.
I have mental health issues including anxiety which means I have struggled accessing groups or anything for my son. (I am in the process of getting support & a Homestart volunteer to help with this)
I have no friends. No family close by. My life is me and my son, so some weeks if I dont have any appointments from children centre workers/health visitor/CPN then the only adult conversation I get to have is with the postman “Hi thanks” or the Asda delivery person.
It is a very lonely existence and I am really struggling. Once I get to groups I know that will be amazing for my son. But making friends seems impossible for me…Im 29 most people my age already have friends etc. It’s just so difficult to build bridges and trust people.
Does anyone else feel the same or am I just a complete nutter?
