    Hey everyone!

    <br data-mce-bogus=”1″>

    I’m new here… at the ripe old age of 34 I find myself becoming a grandma! Being a teenage single mum myself I know how hard it is, and my daughter is even younger (turned 15 in feb)

    <br data-mce-bogus=”1″>

    My question is where can we maybe get help for things for baby? Can she or I claim anything for the baby?

    I’m currently on my 2nd month of UC after having to resign from my job.

    Thanks in advance x

    Congratulations ❤

    I presume your daughter would be entitled to the same as any other mother.

    You may be entitled to some extra support as a new grandmother dependent on any child care duties you take on.

    Be sure to ask along the way. People will soon point you in the right direction xxx

    depending on where you live and in addition to grants and benefits etc you may find a baby bank in your local area. You could ask your midwife if they know of any. Baby banks provide clothes and other baby items like cots, toys etc. The items are used but free.
