My ex was paying for childcare through childcare vouchers but he got sacked and had to get a new job so lost eligibility for the scheme.
I receive tax credits and have read that I would lose them if I apply for a tax free childcare account. Does anyone know if my tax credits would be affected if my ex opens a tax free childcare account to continue paying for childcare through?
When me and my ex were together we did tax free childcare. When we split I applied for Universal credit and I couldn’t also have tax free childcare so it might be the same for you.
Speak to your council or citizens advice to see what option you would get more with.
