I am a single mum with 4 young children. I am also currently caring for my mum. The hospital has recommended that I get the covid vaccine, and I have now been given a date.

The problem is it is during the easter holidays, and I have noone to look after my kids.

Has anyone had a covid vaccine and taken their kids with them? The paperwork says you should come alone or with a carer only if absolutely necessary.

I don’t have anyone I can easily ask and don’t really want to start calling in favours as the vaccine centre is about half an hour away so wouldn’t just be a quick pop out iykwim…..

I would call and explain if I was you. There’s been a lot of problems with single parents being stopped and told to leave kids outside places bc of covid but there’s no real law and if kids under 12 don’t need masks the law is tying itself into knots then isn’t it.You have human rights my dear.Exercise them.

Thanks. Suppose I am worried they say no and I then have to delay the vaccine. Children 10,10,6,2 so definitely can’t leave alone.

    I’ll see what they say….
