Has anyone got any advice for coping with really bad nights? My youngest is up most of the night and I’m really struggling with coping with it all alone. I’m also struggling with feeling quite annoyed at the situation and being left alone to cope with this. I’m so tired when I go to work and I’m just feeling really alone in the situation.
What have you tried?? I kind of went through just binge watching dramas/ series and it kind of made me feel connected with something outside my situation. Wasn’t ideal but it reduced my stress and frustration. I’d then just try and get a few hours when I could early Eve and then at least I knew I’d had some sleep. I had to just tell myself it wouldn’t be for ever. I even got to the point where if I got 4 hrs ( even sporadic) that was ok. It’s tough but for me watching TV weirdly made me feel like someone else was up to..
Just wondering also about work. Is there scope to be flexible for you at the mo with hours to support you through it for now, how supportive is your manager? Some places are really good.with family friendly policies and really do try and support their staff..
