I’ve been a single parent now for a year and I’ve been a victim of domestic assault. My ex husband has been constantly stalking me and has breached his non mol order. I have since escaped and I am safe after being stalked for a year. My mental health is great now and I’m stronger than I have ever been and extremely independent. I am a single mum of 2 girls aged 5 & 3 yrs old. I do get lonely without adult company so looking for a nice general chat and to make new friends.

Hi, I’m in a similar situation. I just got out of a bad marriage to a narc cheating pervert and have 2 kids 3.5 and 4.5yrs. You are not the only lonely ones, Corona doesn’t make it easy for anyone to feel like going out or socialise. Prior to the virus we were always at indoor playgrounds and church but without that it’s been tough. I think the key is to always remember that you are not alone, that the world is in crisis and Thank God you are still alive and well. Things will get better, we can build on the new normal and not hope for the old. Look for opportunities to safely go out and meet people. Planning fun Indoor activities is a must too. Look for ways to change up your routine slightly to make it less monotonous and more fun. Hope this helps.

Hi, single parenting is lonely and current situation makes it even harder. I think chats groups like this help, calls to friends and keep busy. I thought having teens would be company but gaming or girlfriend chats rule! Some days are harder than others and you need to allow yourself to feel that. I’ve taken to rewatching The Gilmoure Girls on Netflix – easy light entertainment to while away the evenings after dinner

    Hi MissyMoo,

I have suffered abuse too and had to flee. Glad you’re doing better now. PM me would be happy to exchange numbers and if you’re local maybe arrange some time out in open space, for a chat, maybe some exercise or anything else you can think of!? I’m looking to make some friends on here too x

    🙂
