    Please  can anyone help and give me an idea of where I can turn for help for gas electric etc my utility company wont help as I have had 1 before within 12 months and I have no family. I’m a single disabled mum and have surgery next week, yet again been messed about by UC and I got 0 on gas n 2.46 on electric. Cupboards are empty and my daughter is asthmatic so the cold isnt helping her chest at all.. I have tried everything can thing of so if anyone has any websites or has been in similar situation and advise me on where I can go or who I can call would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Foxxxiz

    I’d recommend that you call our Single Parent Helpline.  They will be able to help you to explore your options.  They are open today until 1pm and then reopen between 5 and 7.  It will take a little time to get through as they can be very busy but please hold on as they will be able to help you to explore your options.

    It’s not going to help in the short term. But there is a warm home discount scheme offered by many utility providers, where you get upto £140 towards your bills.
    be worth looking into, I think the cut off is March.
