Hi, new to this forum – hoping it’ll help me to get through this rough patch of dealing with lockdown, becoming a new mum, losing my dad to covid recently.
Wondering if there is anyone in Cardiff who is interested in chats, coffee and walks when lockdown eases 🙂21 January 2021 at 12:44 am #48468
Hi I’m South Wales but would meet up during these times.
I totally understand these are hard times but vent on here.

Sorry wouldn’t meet up at this present time with Covid restrictions.21 January 2021 at 5:52 am #48471
Ahhh thanks @welshsally how are you coping with it all?
It is currently lashing down with rain – makes it even more appealing to stay in hibernation 😂22 January 2021 at 12:42 am #48535
Yes weather is awful I had to drive near Cardiff.
This pandemic is pretty gloomy, I don’t see my parents as they are high risk, I dont meet my friends. Just me and my kids with the joys of home schooling and going to work. ( albeit the pretty self sufficient).
keep your chin up there is an end to this xx22 January 2021 at 11:24 am #48538
I know, hopefully the end is in sight.
Oh the Joy’s of homeschooling- been hearing all about it!
Any plans for the weekend? X21 March 2021 at 9:42 am #51772
I’m in Bridgend and I would love to meet other single mum’s near me! I’m hoping that there are other mums out there who would be interested in a camping trip at Llandow camping in June. I’ve just rejoined Gingerbread from years ago and still trying to figure out how to use this forum. I’m not very technically minded.
Hope to meet up soon,
All the best

Hi all, I’m a single dad leaving just outside Cardiff. I looked for a local group but we don’t seem to have one. I’ve been a member of gingerbread for a while but have not been so active. I’ve found the non parent dates I’ve been on nice but being a Dad to 3 I realise I’m looking for someone special as it’s a big ask for anyone to get involved in 🤣🤣. It would be nice to meet other single parents socially when we are able to post restrictions. The past year has been hard for us all I’m sure.24 March 2021 at 2:33 am #51934
Hi mamma bear I registered just now to reach out to any single mums in Cardiff near me needing someone to support bubble with? Do you have a support bubble already? If not, you live in the Radyr/St Fagans area and you’d like to meet up outside nearby to see if we would be a compatible support bubble match please message me. If you do have one already, do you know anyone who hasn’t got one who wants one?!24 March 2021 at 1:56 pm #51944
I’m also from cardiff. Seems to be a lack support groups for people in similar positions .24 March 2021 at 4:08 pm #51952
hi, good to hear from you! I do current bubble with my mum for support as it’s been tough with a 5 month old on my own. I’m afraid I don’t know any other single parents who don’t have a support bubble. But as soon as restrictions ease and we can meet outdoors which extends outside of support bubbles, I would be happy to meet if you want? I’m not too far from Radyr x24 March 2021 at 11:57 pm #51967
Hi I’m also a single mum to 3 kids, I live in Cardiff and would love to meet other parents! Single parent life has left me on my own so I’m eager to meet fellow parents for trips out and about!
My children are 10, 8&7!
Camping, picnics walks and coffee all sound great! Adult company sounds amazing too! 🙂25 March 2021 at 4:50 am #51968
How about a meet up at St Fagans once this nonscence is all over?
I’m getting my first jab Saturday and I’m hoping this is the way out 🤞.
Hope to meet up soon x25 March 2021 at 10:23 am #51970
Sounds like there are a few of us near Cardiff that could do with some new friends dealing with similar stages in life. Hopefully we can get some freedoms soon and I like the idea of meeting up maybe at st fagans to say hi. I’m in Miskin so it’s really not far for me. My kids are 14, 13 and 11, two girls and a boy. They have spent most of 2021 with me so far but they are going to their mums later today for a few days. I think I’ll find it hard without them now I’ve gotten very used to them being here all the time.25 March 2021 at 5:27 pm #51986
I’m currently going through the court process as the children mother csnt be civil enough even though she needed it. Its hardest part being away from your children whether its hour or a week. Makes it worse it my four children are all under 6.
