Hi all, please can I ask for some advice.

I have a fairly amicable split with my boys (age 9 & 15)  dad & 90% of the time, we see eye to eye.

Yet, he wants to have our boys for alternate weeks during this self isolating period, which in itself is fine.

My issue is that his partner works in a doctors surgery & although they have a call before you visit policy & insist on hand washing & alcohol gel for visitors, she IS still mixing with people.

I am fortunate to be able to work from home & have been successful in isolating for the past 2 weeks.

So my question, is can I tell him that the boys have to stay with me? He is missing the boys & I do understand that, but he has total access to them via FaceTime etc?!

Do I have the right to say no?

The govt have said that children CAN travel between houses. However there was a judgement from the courts last week that said if a parent stopped contact for a good corona-related reason such as the other parent not social distancing, then that would be considered reasonable in the short term.

Talk to him, explain that it’s only a couple of weeks, that you are trying to keep the children safe. Surely he can see that.
